If you’ve never played mut before, Madden NFL 23 is an excellent guide to the early development of mut. The system will ask you to choose a team for the first card, and the favorite team you set is the default team. This will also set up your initial uniform, stadium and coach to match the team. If you have played mut in Madden NFL 19 and still have the same player account, your team name will continue, but whether or not you will start from scratch.
Your first game pack will contain a team of mid – to low-end players from the 1960s, so you need to upgrade them quickly. Madden NFL 23 puts you in a low challenge right away. When you overcome these challenges, you will get more card packs.
After that, you will be sent to the main mut hub. Here you can view and rename your team, and if you’ve played mut before or subscribed to Madden NFL 21, some card packages may open. Please note that you can carry as many card bags as you like and open them at any time.
You can go to the store tile to buy more card bags. There are four currencies:
At first, your team won’t be able to do much, and you need to do some single challenges to earn some gold coins before you can take any consequences. From the center, go to the play category to see all game modes.
As you collect more cards and Farming more madden coins, you can start participating in auction houses and trade zones. Here, you can get cards directly from other players, or sell your cards to eliminate unwanted players. You can also ”quickly sell” some coins or training point cards, effectively eliminating them from the world. The profit from selling good cards is usually low, but the profit from selling bad cards is high because few or no players will buy them. The card itself will show which currency and how much more will make you net.
Note that some cards, such as many ultimate trainer cards, cannot be sold, traded, or auctioned quickly. The top right corner of these cards will be marked with a small ”NAT” above the ovr level (for ”not auctionable / tradeable”).
Auction houses and trading areas are independent on each platform, so cards sold on Playstation 4 cannot be purchased on Xbox one or windows at that price. The Madden NFL 23 card database, muthread, lists the current price of each card at auction houses on each platform.
Please note that even if you are not subscribed to the multiplayer game mode of the platform (such as Playstation plus or Xbox LIVE gold), you can still participate in auction houses, trade restricted areas, weekly challenges and all other activities. The only thing you’re banned from is multiplayer.
Rewards vary according to mode and difficulty, but it’s usually best to fight against human players. Even if you are a strict soloist, you can still participate in the weekly competition to get rich rewards.
