Monkeys are a monster type found in Act 2. The smaller Monkeys throw rocks and attack in melee. The larger chieftains have battle-cries with various effects, and a stronger melee attack.

Ape chieftains is a monster type. In in-game bestiary, Apes and Ape Chieftains are classified as separate genera, even the two types of monsters interact with each other. The two genera are part of Primates group (akin to subfamily of real world biology) of The Wilds family.
