Mechanics
- Enemies Chilled by your Hits lessen their Damage dealt by half of Chill Effect: Enemies chilled by your hits will deal less damage equal to 50% of the magnitude of the chill inflicted. For example, if you inflict a 15% chill, chilled enemies will deals 7.5% less damage.
- All Damage Taken from Hits can Chill you: Hits from Boneshatter's Trauma, Forbidden Rite, or hits from unique items like Eye of Innocence will chill you. However, as these are not considered "your hits" the less damage modifier modifier does not apply.
- This item can be used to allow all enemy or self hits to intentionally chill the player, which can be combined with Winterweave for a boost to Action Speed.
-
- However, exercise caution if utilizing reflected chill (e.g. using The Fulcrum), since Enemies Chilled by your Hits lessen their Damage dealt by half of Chill Effect is an independent debuff, the player will also deal less damage while chilled. For example, if the player is affected by a self-chill with a magnitude of 30% and is equipping Winterweave, the player will have 30% increased action speed but deal 15% less damage.
- See also Cinderswallow Urn for a similar effect.
- Enemies Chilled by your Hits can be Shattered as though Frozen: Kills from damage over time will not shatter enemies. Only hits can cause shatter.
Call of the Void Build Guide
Call of the Void is a new cold-themed ring which was designed by Lightee and will drop from the Uber Elder. It causes all damage to chill and causes chilled enemies to shatter on death, as though they were frozen. On top of this, chilled enemies deal less damage back to you, based on the magnitude of the chill affecting them. The only drawback is that all incoming damage also chills you, but there are many ways to mitigate this and in some cases, it’s beneficial to builds that utilise self-chill as part of some crazy combo. This ring is useful for a wide variety of different end-game builds.
Item acquisition
