It also grants added flat physical damage with weapons based on your maximum life pool to the skill while on low life. Supports attack skills. Cannot support triggered skills, skills which create minions, or skills used by totems, traps or mines. Attack, Physical, Support. Level: 1–20. Cost & Reservation Multiplier: 140%. Requires Level 31. Supported Attacks deal Added Physical Damage with Weapons equal to 2% of Maximum Life while on Low Life Supported Attacks deal (0–9)% more Damage This is a Support Gem. The Bloodthirst Support Gem is a new option for low-life attackers. This gem adds a percentage of your life as physical weapon damage while you’re on low life, letting low-life attack-based builds really scale their damage, which wasn’t an option before.

Bloodthirst's more damage modifier is active unconditionally, whether the character is on low life or not.

The flat added physical damage is a conditional modifier, because it is only active while on low life and using a weapon.

Damage Calculations

The total damage depends on the characters maximum life and total flat damage from other sources.

These calculations count both the flat physical damage and the more damage. Therefore they assume the character is on low life and using a weapon.

Add up all flat sources of damage not from the gem = Q

(Total life X .02) = Y

( Q + Y ) = K

( K X More damage) = V

(V / Q) = final answer.

• Example: Level 20 gem. A player with above average life has 6,000 maximum life. All other sources of average flat physical damage is 300.

• • (6,000 X .02) = 120 Flat added physical weapon damage.

• • (300 + 120) = 420

• • (420 x 1.09) = 457.8

• • (457.8 / 300) = 1.526

• In this example the final damage modifier is 1.526 times the damage. In other words 52.6% more damage.
