  • Strength is a measure of your raw physical power. It affects how much you carry, and the damage of all melee attacks. Each point of strength adds 5 lbs of carrying capacity, starting with 155 lbs at Strength 1.
  • Perception affects your awareness of nearby enemies, your ability to detect stealthy movement, and your weapon accuracy in V.A.T.S
  • Endurance is a measure of your overall physical fitness. It affects your total Health, the Action Point drain from sprinting, and your resistance to disease.
  • Charisma is your ability to lead and help others. It allows you to share your Perk Cards (CHA must be greater than or equal to 3 times the point value of the card you wish to share) and also affects your rewards from Group Quests and prices when you barter.

Fallout 76 Perks Card Guide

Fallout 76 Perk cards replace the skills in the previous titles. Each perk card will spend points to equip in its SPECIAL attribute. Create a higher-level card by merging 2 cards of the same lower level. The higher the level, the better the effect. Players can equip multiple cards in special attributes, as long as the total point value of the equipped card does not exceed the attribute level. The maximum attribute level for each attribute is 15, and the maximum attribute level for all special attributes is 56. Players can exchange cards at any time; this is especially useful when switching between solo and group playing.

At each level up, players can select a special attribute to add, and a new perk card (use the navigation button to press the SPECIAL type to filter through the unused perk cards). Players will also get 4, 6, 8, and 10 levels, then every 5 levels to get the perk card packs. After reaching level 50, the player will continue to upgrade and obtain the card packs, but no SPECIAL attribute can be added. Each pack contains four cards, some of which may be level-locked (these perk cards require a minimum level to be equipped, and will display the padlock and the level required to equip them). After level 50, users can select a new perk card or reassign one point of a SPECIAL ability to another ability each time they level up.

In addition to the perk with a group effect, you can also choose to share perk cards among team members. Each player can only select one perk to share at a time, and the selected perk card can be changed at any time during the game. However, players must have at least three times the level of Charisma of the perk card they want to share, regardless of the SPECIAL attributes of the shared perk card.

Some crafting plans require specific perks to be used.

To unlock and maximize each perk card, players must be at least level 543.
