Immediately encases you in ice, protecting you for a duration or until you take damage from a number of hits, and also grants a buff once the cast time has finished. You cannot move or perform non-instant actions while in the ice. When the ice breaks, the buff is also removed. Tags: Spell, Duration, Cold, Vaal. Souls Per Use: 50. Can Store 1 Use. Soul Gain Prevention: 24 sec. Cast Time: 1.00 sec. Requires Level 16. Vaal Arctic Armour Build Guide

Vaal Arctic Armour instantly encases you in ice, preventing non-instant actions including movement but granting massive damage reduction against hits. After a short duration, it also starts to regenerate your energy shield and mana at a fast rate. Both the damage reduction and regeneration last for a few seconds, or until you have been hit three times. It cannot be manually canceled.

Because this skill is instant, it's a great emergency button against dangerous boss slams. It also makes you count as being frozen, despite Arctic armor normally making you freeze-immune. Having another way to self-freeze may be of interest to a few mad scientist build creators in the community.
