Marks are a type of spell skill. They are a subset of curse skills that target single units. Only one Mark can be affecting a target under any circumstance.
Each character can only place a Mark on one target at any time. This limit is shared between all Mark skills. If you applied a Mark on an enemy and then apply any Mark skill again, the previous Mark will expire.
Marks are considered a curse and and share the curse limit with Hexes. Applying a Hex curse to a Marked target will expire the Mark, and vice versa, unless you have have increased your curse limit. Increased curse limit will still not allow you to place more than one Mark skill on an enemy.
Mark On Hit Support will cause the supported Mark skill to trigger on the Rare or Unique monster you’ve attacked. Hextouch Support does not support Mark skills.
Since Mark skills can curse only one target, they are more suited for single target. While Unique monsters usually have less Hex effectiveness, this does not diminish the effectiveness of Marks.
