PoE How To Use Crafting Bench

The Crafting Bench lets players craft a modifier into equipment or modify sockets and links at the cost of some currency. It can be found in the player's hideout.

1. Accessing the Crafting Bench:

  • The Crafting Bench is located in your Hideout. You can place it wherever you like when decorating your Hideout.

2. Using the Crafting Bench:

  • Once you interact with the Crafting Bench, you’ll see two main sections:
    • Left side: This displays the item you have equipped or placed in the designated slot.
    • Right side: This shows the available crafting options, categorized by what you can modify (sockets, links, attributes, etc.)

3. Crafting Recipes:

  • Not all crafting options are available from the start. You need to unlock recipes by:
    • Finding recipe scrolls: These drop from monsters or are rewards from quests.
    • Purchasing recipes from vendors: Certain vendors, like Einhar (Beastmaster) and Niko (Delve Master), sell specific crafting recipes.
    • Completing challenges: Some challenges reward you with crafting recipes.

4. Basic Crafting Actions:

  • Once you have the desired recipe unlocked, here’s how to use it:
    • Place the item you want to craft on in the designated slot on the left.
    • Find the crafting recipe you want to use on the right side. Hover over it to see the required materials and the possible outcomes.
    • Click the “Craft” button. Make sure you have the necessary materials in your inventory or Stash!

5. Tips:

  • Hold Alt while hovering over an item: This will show you all the modifiers currently on the item, which helps you determine what crafting options are still available.
  • Not all crafts are guaranteed: Some, like adding random modifiers, have a chance of success or failure.
  • Certain crafts can be expensive: Be mindful of the costs before committing to a craft, especially with valuable items.
  • Crafting is a deep system: There are many advanced techniques and strategies you can learn as you delve deeper into Path of Exile.
