PoE How To Reset Zone

Resetting a zone in Path of Exile essentially creates a new instance of that area, allowing you to encounter fresh enemies, chests, and objectives. There are two main ways to do this:

1. Control-Clicking:

  • Hold the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
  • Click on the zone entrance: This can be either the physical door or the waypoint leading to the zone.
  • A confirmation window will appear: Click "Create New Instance" to reset the zone.

2. Using Waypoints:

  • Locate the waypoint for the zone you want to reset. This can be found in a town or another zone that connects to the desired area.
  • Hold the Ctrl key and click on the waypoint.
  • A menu will appear with a list of available instances: Choose "Create New Instance" to reset the zone.

Additional Notes:

  • This method also works for resetting boss arenas.
  • Some areas, like Laboratory or Delve, cannot be reset in this way.
  • Resetting a zone is useful for farming specific mobs or resources, completing daily objectives, or testing different strategies.

I hope this helps!

Managing Instances

If you want to run the same area many times back to back, you will need to create new instances. You can do this by Ctrl+Clicking the waypoint marker on the World Screen of the area you want to rerun while you’re at a waypoint, or the entrance to the area you want to rerun when you’re in an adjacent area. This opens the Instance Manager, which displays all of the instances of that area that you currently have access to, how long they have until they close, which servers they are connected to, and which players are in each one.
