The Trial

Fight alongside your selected warriors to defeat the enemy chieftain and warriors, and banish their totems to prevent them from repawning. Players have to channel near a totem to banish it and cannot deal damage to it directly. Being hit while banishing a totem interrupts actions and prevents all actions for a duration.

Defeated warriors revive at their ancestral totem after a delay which increases each time they die. Dying during a trial does not count as a death (no experience loss or sending Hardcore character to Standard will occur). All enemies immediately respawn if an enemy totem is banished by the player; this does not occur if a warrior banishes it instead. Banishing all enemy totems wins the match.

Both teams can select up to 16 Warriors or Field Items to assist the player or enemy chieftain in battle. Up to 4 Warriors can be assigned to each role.

  • Attacker: Pushes forward from their position, targeting enemies and Ancestral Totems in close proximity.
  • Escort: Prioritizes following you. Enemy Warriors in the Escort position will follow their Chieftain.
  • Flanker: Pushes forward, prioritizing targeting enemy Ancestral Totems and are less inclined to engage in combat.
  • Defender: Attempts to prevent enemy Warriors from Banishing Ancestral Totems.

Flankers should be prioritized, followed by escorts and defence. The player should prioritize killing enemies while warriors focus on totems.
