In collaboration with Major League Baseball, The Players Association, and MLB’s social responsibility platform, MLB Together, MLB The Show introduces the Rickwood Field Charity Pack to support the Birmingham Negro Southern League Museum. This museum is dedicated to chronicling the story of African American baseball and its profound impact on the sport and American culture. Located in Birmingham, AL, home of the Birmingham Black Barons and Rickwood Field, the Negro Southern League Museum is the foremost authority on the history of the Negro Southern Leagues and the black players who launched their careers there. Notable players like Hilton Smith, Leroy “Satchel” Paige, and Willie Mays all began their baseball journeys in the Negro Southern Leagues, and their stories, along with many others, are preserved at the museum.

MLB Together will utilize all funds to support the Negro Southern League Museum in Birmingham, Alabama, helping the museum fulfill its mission of presenting and preserving the history of African American baseball through maintaining a world-class facility that honors the Negro Leagues’ impact on Birmingham and the professional baseball world.
