PoE Legion Scarab of Eternal Conflict

Monoliths will not spawn in excessively small or cramped areas. Interacting with the Monolith will reveal a battle between two Legion factions that are in stasis. A timer will start once the Monolith is activated. During this phase, the enemies can be "killed", breaking them out of stasis and allowing them to be fought when the timer ends for rewards. The timer can range from 14 to 20 seconds (or more with Atlas passives), with a longer timer in lower-level zones. Once the timer runs out, all the enemies that were broken out of stasis will remain and start attacking. Enemies that didn’t get broken out will disappear.

Multiple Breaks from Stasis:

  • When you use this Scarab in your Map Device, it grants Legion monsters within your map’s Legion Encounter the ability to be broken out of stasis multiple times. Normally, Legionnaires can only be released from stasis once during the encounter.

Understanding Legion Stasis:

  • Core Mechanic: Legion Encounters involve shattering temporal rifts to release Legionnaires trapped in stasis. Defeating them within a time limit rewards you with Emblem fragments and other loot.

Overall:

The PoE Legion Scarab of Eternal Conflict is a high-risk, high-reward Scarab. It offers the potential for extended encounters with more potential rewards, but comes with the significant drawback of a steeper difficulty curve. This Scarab is best suited for experienced players who can handle the increasing challenge and are comfortable with potentially longer Legion Encounters.

Here are some additional points to consider when using this Scarab:

  • Build Strength: Ensure your character has enough damage and survivability to handle multiple waves of increasingly difficult Legionnaires.
  • Map Selection: Choose maps where you can comfortably clear the surrounding area while focusing on the Legion Encounter due to its extended nature.
  • Team Play: Consider using this Scarab in a group, as the increased difficulty can be mitigated by having multiple players contribute to the encounter.
