Monoliths will not spawn in excessively small or cramped areas. Interacting with the Monolith will reveal a battle between two Legion factions that are in stasis. A timer will start once the Monolith is activated. During this phase, the enemies can be "killed", breaking them out of stasis and allowing them to be fought when the timer ends for rewards. The timer can range from 14 to 20 seconds (or more with Atlas passives), with a longer timer in lower-level zones. Once the timer runs out, all the enemies that were broken out of stasis will remain and start attacking. Enemies that didn’t get broken out will disappear.
