The posterizer badge has always been a staple for slashers that want to get more contact dunks and this year is no different. The question is though, do I need posterizer on Hall of Fame? The 99 driving dunk required makes taking Hall of Fame poster very expensive, but is it worth it?
Posterizer increases the chances of throwing down a dunk on your defender.

Testing posterizer required us to record the number of poster animations received based on the defenders positioning. Defenders already in good defense position outside of the charge arc were much more likely to prevent a poster dunk than those closing out late.
Below shows the success rate for posters against a defender in good position using the dunk meter. In the video on this page you can find results for defenders closing out late or positioned too deep in the paint.
Badge Level | Successful Posters |
---|---|
Bronze | 5% |
Silver | 55% |
Gold | 65% |
Hall of Fame | 75% |
If you just enjoy getting posters and want to maximize that ability then Hall of Fame poster is for sure the way to go. However, this probably isn’t the optimal way to play if you’re trying to maximize wins.
If your goal is to increase poster animations, this badge combined with the dunk meter is the most effective method.
