The Codex of Power is a collection of all Legendary Aspects that were unlocked by completing specific dungeons for the first time.

Aspect of the Protector	All classes: Barbarian, Druid, Necromancer, Rogue, Sorceress	Defensive	Damaging an Elite ememy grants you a Barrier absorbing up to 119 damage for 10 seconds. This effect can only happen once every 30 seconds. Barriers absorb damage from all sources up to a specified amount. Skinwalker's Aspect	Druid	Defensive	When you use a Shapeshifting Skill that changes your form, gain 8 Life. If you are at full Life, gain the same amount as Fortify. Aspect of Uncanny Treachery	Rogue	Defensive	Dealing direct damage to Dazed Enemy with an Agility Skill grants Stealth for 4 seconds. Breaking Stealth with an attack grants you 15% Control Impaired Duration Reduction for 4 seconds. Dazed enemies cannot attack or use Skills but are still able to move. Legendary Aspects can be imprinted on Rare and Legendary items at the Occultist. After imprinting:

Rare items turn into Legendaries with the affixes that were previously on that item, plus the newly added Legendary Power.
Legendaries have their existing Legendary Power overwritten with the new one.

Codex of Power Aspects can be applied indefinitely. Regularly extracted Legendary Aspects are consumed when they are imprinted onto an item. An item can only be imbued once!

Legendary Aspects Category

Legendary Aspects can only be imprinted onto specific item slots which are determined by the category of the Legendary Aspect itself. Each Legendary Aspect belongs to a specific category, including Defensive, Offensive, Resource, Utility, or Mobility and in some cases the item slot you choose for a Legendary Aspect can also increase the imprinted Legendary Power on the item

Limitations

You have an opportunity to go and basically override the existing legendary power on this and put in the new power they've just collected to the Codex of Power. So in this way, players get this deterministic way to kind of collect a series of these legendary powers that are out there in the game for them to find. But it's not all of them.

You can only find some of the legendary powers overall in the game. There are over 120 dungeons in the game. So this represents like a lot of really exciting and interesting things for you to collect as you're going through these areas.
Also, you don't just find legendary powers for your class. You'll find legendary powers for all of the class as you go. And some ones that can work in multiple classes as. And then we think this is really cool because every time you find an aspect that you can put in your Codex of Power, this is now available to all characters in that realm.
But another limitation for the Codex of Power, in addition to not actually having the ability to collect all of legendary powers again, there's many, many more for you to find as you're playing through Diablo IV those powers also are always rolled at the lowest level of power possible. So it is always better for you to go find a legendary item that has the power that you're interested in, and then you could choose to use that item directly or extract the power from that item into an aspect crystal. Then go in and print into your own item of your choosing.
