PoE Uber Shaper 3.24

PoE 3.24: The Cosmic Wounds, Memento Mori, Thirst for Knowledge, Insatiable Appetite, Throw the Gauntlet, and The Perfect Storm Atlas Keystone Passives have been removed. Instead, we have added a new set of fragments that can be used to access the Uber Pinnacle Bosses. These fragments can be obtained from the new Tier 17 Maps we're also introducing with this patch.

PoE Uber Shaper Fragment

Place five of the same Cosmic Fragment in the Map Device to challenge Uber The Shaper Pinnacle Boss, and you no longer need to worry about arranging the fragments in the right order! (The fifth slot in the Map Device is now unlocked upon completing a non-Valdo's Tier 17 Map.)

PoE 3.24 Changes

  • The most difficult and most rewarding content in Path of Exile can be found in Uber Pinnacle bosses, such as The Maven and The Searing Exarch. Currently the only way to access these bosses is by allocating specific Keystones on the Atlas Passive Tree. While this system offers a nice element of control, it causes a problem: Rewards and access to the non-Uber variants are now economically priced around the rewards of the Uber fights. This means it is wasteful to run the non-Uber variants instead of simply selling them.
  • In addition, the difficulty jump between the Pinnacle and Uber Pinnacle content was relatively large, and there wasn't obvious content available that could bridge this gap. Many players would give up on their character before being able to defeat the Uber Pinnacle Bosses.
  • The Cosmic Wounds, Memento Mori, Thirst for Knowledge, Insatiable Appetite, Throw the Gauntlet, and The Perfect Storm Atlas Keystone Passives have been removed. Instead, we have added a new set of fragments that can be used to access the Uber Pinnacle Bosses.
  • These fragments can be obtained from the new Tier 17 Maps we're also introducing with this patch. Not only do these Maps give you access to the Uber Pinnacle content, they also test your characters in new ways. These feature a new set of Bosses, Uber Monsters, and a new tier of modifiers that can roll on Maps.
  • Tier 17 Maps have 20% Quality and are Unmodifiable.

Cosmic Wounds Keystone

Cosmic Wounds is a new Atlas Keystone Passive Skill. It is for fighting Uber Shaper and Uber Uber Elder. The fight is extremely difficult, so only attempt it if you have a very powerful character.

  • The Shaper's Realm is level 85
  • The Shaper's and The Elder's full power are unleashed in The Shaper's Realm
  • The Shaper and The Elder in The Shaper's Realm have 100% increased chance to drop an Orb of Dominance

Cosmic Wounds PoE

Challenge: Defeat The Shaper in The Shaper's Realm while the area is level 85

Firstly, you must allocate the Cosmic Wounds keystone in the Atlas passives.

  • Level: 85
  • Location: The Shaper's Realm
  • Resistenace: 50% Fire, 50% Cold, 50% Lightning, 30% Chaos
  • Modifiers: 66% Less Curse Effectiveness, Cannot Be Fully Slowed, Immune To Knockback.

Players must use the following fragments in their map device to fight The Shaper. They can be collected by fighting various bosses, and can also be traded amongst players.

The arena is called The Shaper's Realm.

Recommendations

The following is recommended:

  • At least 1 million damage per second
  • Capped elemental resistances (fire, cold and lightning resistance at 75%); overcapped cold resistance is also useful
  • At least 5,000 combined Life and Energy Shield and a reliable source of recovery
  • Moderate mitigation or avoidance, including Physical damage reduction
  • Movement skill to avoid Shaper's slams and beams

The fight consists of multiple phases. Before the Shaper encounter begins, the player must defeat four side bosses at the nexus. After that a portal opens to the Shaper's arena. The Shaper himself has three phases. At the end of the first and second phases he banishes Zana and the player to a passage while he heals up. The players must traverse the passage and return to the arena to begin the next phase. The Shaper recovers health slowly between phases.

Challenge: Defeat The Elder in The Shaper's Realm while the area is level 85

Firstly, you must allocate the Cosmic Wounds keystone in the Atlas passives.

  • Level: 85
  • Location: The Shaper's Realm
  • Resistenace: 50% Fire, 50% Cold, 50% Lightning, 30% Chaos
  • Modifiers: 66% Less Curse Effectiveness, Cannot Be Fully Slowed, Cannot be stunned while stunned, Cannot be stunned for 4s after stun finished.

Players must use the following fragments in their map device to fight Uber Elder (Elder and Shaper). These fragments can be obtained by defeating The Shaper and The Elder, and can also be traded amongst players.

  • Fragment of Knowledge - obtained by defeating The Shaper
  • Fragment of Shape - obtained by defeating The Shaper
  • Fragment of Terror - obtained by defeating The Elder
  • Fragment of Emptiness - obtained by defeating The Elder

The arena is the same as the Absence of Value and Meaning, but the character first enters The Shaper's Realm, and then takes a portal to the final arena. The arena and staging areas are in the same instance.

Recommendations

The following is recommended:

  • Mastery of the mechanics of The Elder and The Shaper (fight both of them independently till you can do it deathless)
  • At least 10 million damage per second (rolling over your main attack ability should show 100K+, because Path of Exile cannot calculate DPS properly)
  • A method to increase damage against unique enemies (such as Assassin's Mark for critical strike-based builds)
  • Capped elemental resistances (fire, cold and lightning resistance at 75%)
  • At least 8,000 Effective hit points (Life pool)
  • High life regeneration or energy shield regeneration to combat the Shaper Beam and Vortex portals
  • At least 20% block or evade chance, or Mana before Life defenses

The following is optional:

  • Rumi's Concoction can increase your defensive ability if you keep dying (spellcaster and ranger builds only)
  • Lion's Roar can increase your defensive ability if you keep dying (melee builds only)

Uber Pinnacle Boss Fights

PoE 3.18 added 7 new uber versions of Pinnacle Boss fights, accessible through Atlas Keystone Passives. These fights are extremely difficult, so only attempt them if you have a very powerful character.

Six new keystones create uber versions of Path of Exile's pinnacle boss fights: Venarius, Sirus, The Maven, The Searing Exarch, The Eater of Worlds and The Shaper and The Uber Elder.

  • The Absence of Patience and Wisdom is level 85
  • The Searing Exarch's full power is unleashed in The Absence of Patience and Wisdom
  • Eldritch Currency Items dropped by The Searing Exarch have 50% chance to be Duplicated
Uber Sirus The Perfect Storm
  • The Eye of the Storm is level 85
  • Sirus' full power is unleashed in The Eye of the Storm
  • Sirus has 20% chance to drop an Awakened Support Gem
Uber Shaper and Uber Uber Elder Cosmic Wounds
  • The Shaper's Realm is level 85
  • The Shaper's and The Elder's full power are unleashed in The Shaper's Realm
  • The Shaper and The Elder in The Shaper's Realm have 100% increased chance to drop an Orb of Dominance

Allocating one of these keystones on your Atlas passive tree ramps up the corresponding boss fight so that it is extremely difficult. Like, really hard. Harder than saying goodbye to Zana hard. Only allocate these keystones if your character is extremely powerful and you know you can handle the challenge. In general, the encounters' rules are modified to be far more punitive and difficult. In return, though, you can earn some very enticing rewards. Each of the uber fights has an additional high-chance reward and a chance of getting a very very rare chase reward. For example, the Uber Maven guarantees an Elevated Sextant if you're able to complete the encounter. Very rarely, you may be able to earn an Awakened Exceptional Support Gem as well such as Empower, Enlighten or Enhance.

These keystones unlock crazy battles that will challenge our most aspiring players who are deep in Path of Exile's endgame. They add a new level of difficulty for those who want to push their builds even farther than they ever have before.
