2. Running High-Tier Maps and Killing Monsters (Time-Consuming):

• This is the traditional method for leveling any gem, but it's particularly time-consuming for Awakened Gems due to their high EXP requirements.
• By running high-tier maps with good monster density and using gear or skills that increase your clear speed, you can gradually gain EXP for your Awakened Gem as it kills monsters.
• This method is reliable but requires significant investment in time and potentially map currency.

3. Buying a Leveled Awakened Gem (Fastest, but Requires Currency):

• The Trading Market allows players to buy and sell items, including leveled gems.
• You can search for a level 5 Awakened Gem of your desired type and purchase it from another player using in-game currency.
• This is the fastest method but requires having enough currency to cover the cost, which can be quite high for popular Awakened Gems.

PoE 3.17 Changes: Awakened Gems no longer drop from Conquerors. Some Awakened Gems can now drop from The Maven's Crucible, with all Awakened Gems now being a possible drop from The Maven.

Awakened Support Gem Guide

Awakened Support Gem is a subtype of support gems that are better versions of existing support gems which at level one are more powerful than the level 20 versions of the ones they replace. Not all support gems have an awakened version available.

The “base” Support Skill Gems and Awakened Support Skill Gems are considered the same gem. If socketing Awakened and non-Awakened gems together, only the Awakened gem has effects. This also applies to supporting the active skill with two copies of the same Support Skill Gems. In that case, only the higher level Support Skill Gem has effects.

In addition, Awakened Gems have a higher starting level requirement and require more experience to level up.

How to get Awakened Gems?

They are dropped by the following bosses:

• Maven-witnessed Map Bosses
• Maven herself
• Sirus, Awakener of Worlds,
• Al-Hezmin, the Hunter,
• Veritania, the Redeemer,
• Drox, the Warlord,
• Baran, the Crusader.

PoE 3.20: Maven-witnessed Map Bosses in Tier 14 Maps or higher now have a chance to drop an Awakened Gem (inclusive of the Awakened Gems that are typically exclusive to Maven herself).

How common are Awakened Gems from the Maven?

When you kill the Maven herself, the chance of getting an Awakened Gem is quite common. The drop chance from Maven-witnessed map bosses is a lot lower than this because these fights occur more often. The goal is that they're common enough that it feels worthwhile running Maven-witnessed maps while not having Awakened Gems feel too common and significantly lowering their value.

Awakened Gems Quality

Unlike regular gems, the quality 20 recipe vendor will not work on them, as a result using  Gemcutter’s Prism will be far more important. Corruption works the same as for regular support gems, sometimes adding or removing a level or up to 10 quality. Quality is hardcapped at 23%.

Awakened Supports Changes 3.16

Change Awakened gems that only gave higher values of their normal scaling stats to have either an extra effect or a large boost in the values of their existing effects at gem level 5. Adjust values and scaling for awakened gems to ensure that a level 1 awakened gem is a clear upgrade to a level 20 non-awakened gem.
