GGG has made small improvements to Ruthless in Path of Exile: Crucible. Eternal Orbs are back in Ruthless!

Eternal Orbs are extremely powerful currency items that allow you to imprint an item and restore it if you’re unhappy with the result of crafting. GGG disabled these game-wide seven years ago because they were far too powerful when combined with all of the crafting options Path of Exile offered at the time. Ruthless does not have the base game’s crafting featureset, and so GGG is enabling Eternal Orbs to drop in Ruthless, albeit extremely rarely.

How to use it?

Right click this item then left click on an item to create an imprint. This imprint can later be used to restore this specific item to that imprinted state.

An Eternal Orb creates an imprint of an item that can later be used to revert the item to the imprinted state. This is useful for advanced crafting techniques, where the player is looking for a specific modifier but doesn’t want to alter the modifiers that the item already has. One can use an Exalted Orb and restore the item with the imprint if the result is not desirable. Unlike Mirror of Kalandra, the Eternal Orb does work on unique items. An Eternal Orb will not restore an imprint on a corrupted or mirrored item, since these can’t be altered by currency in any way.

The imprint can be sold at vendors for an Orb of Regret.

How to get it?

This item is drop disabled in the core game. It can only drop in Ruthless mode. The drop level is 40.
