Currencies in Lost Ark are special types of Items with monetary value. Currencies are used to pay for most services in Lost Ark including purchasing and upgrading Equipment, Crafting, accessing features and many, many more. Currencies come in many forms, with four major Currencies being the most common and most universal: Royal Crystals, Crystals, Silver and Gold. There are also minor currencies with specific uses in varying areas of the game.

1. Lost Ark Currency Items

The simplest way is to use real money to purchase crystals and exchange them for gold. Lost Ark main currencies:

2. Daily Gold Sources

Cube	Drops	Sell engraving books at the auction house.
Life	Drops	Sell materials obtained through life activities or produce battle/ special items at your stronghold ( Estate) and sell them on the auction house.
Gateway Maps	Drops	If you obtained a key from a navigation co-op event you then can participate at the gate events which have a chance to reward you with gold.
Chaos Gate	Secret Map	Get gold from the secret map auction and from selling map runs with 3 other player’s secret maps. (This will be sent to your mailbox, not your mail at the top of your screen. Red mailbox in main cities or if your pet is activated you can get your gold through there. )
Merchants	Exchange	Most items that merchants sell can be placed in the Auction House. Examples: Merchant Ships in each harbor, Silmeal Blood NPC in each major city, Pvp Token NPC.
Cash Shop	Exchange	Sell star crystals from real money for gold at the cash shop. Capped at 10 deals per day.

3. Improve relationship with NPCs

In Lost Ark, you can befriend over 70 different NPCs and work to deepen and improve your relationship with them. If you reach a certain level of trust, the generous NPCs will give you things.

Thirain, the King of Luterra, found in Luterra Castle. If the good gentleman is friendly to you, he will give you a whopping 500 gold.
Neria, the innkeeper in East Luterra’s Wave Beach Harbor, will even give you 600 gold if she trusts you.
Neria in Arthetine, who is waiting for you in Stern’s Origin, will also give you 600 gold if she trusts you.
Sasha, who can also be found in Stern’s Origin, even gives you a total of 3,500 gold if she trusts you at level 5.
Mercenary Zeira is also in Stern’s origin. She also gives you 200 gold as soon as she trusts you.
You can meet Ealyn in Vern Castle. If she’s interested in you at level 5, she’ll give you a total of 1,000 gold.
In Vern Castle you will also meet Avele, who will give you a total of 1,400 gold if she trusts you.
There are other NPCs that will give you up to 2,700 gold, but you won’t find them until later in the game. For starters and up to level 50, these are the only characters you can persuade to give you gold.

4. Complete collection tasks

In Lost Ark, there are countless different collectibles that you can take with you. However, many of them cost more money than they bring you in the end. You will receive a masterpiece for each of the following tasks, which are relatively easy to earn:

5. Sell everything you don’t need yourself

Almost no item in Lost Ark is tied to characters or accounts. That means you can get rid of almost anything you don’t need yourself.

The collectibles needed to complete the Adventure Tome are very good for selling. Some of them are currently worth over 30 gold each.
All types of raw materials that you have to farm yourself and for which you have to spend your valuable work points are worth selling.
Engraving instructions and engraving stones always bring you a solid income. Finding the right engravings and stones for your character is difficult with luck, so many players prefer to buy them rather than search for them for a long time.
Trading cards are worth quite a bit of gold since you need 15 total versions of the same card to upgrade them. If you have them at the maximum level, you can sell unnecessary cards well instead of converting them into card EXP.
All possible upgrade materials are an exciting good to get a lot of gold. Gearscore is crucial for many players, which is why some players prefer to spend gold rather than farm.

6. Life Skills and Selling

You can also craft items with resources gleaned from life skills, such as mining and herbalism, then sell them on the auction house. Naturally, you’ll want to check and see what types of items are in higher demand, and it’ll likely fluctuate as more players enter the game.

7. Chaos Dungeons

Find secret rooms in chaos dungeons. Chaos Raids are definitely worth the time to complete for a couple of reasons. Some have secret rooms you can loot for valuables, then sell them at the auction house. There’s also a chance you’ll get tickets to spend on special Ticketed Events. Completing these gives you a chance at earning Combat Books, which, again, fetch a good price at the auction house.

8. Craft and Sell Accessories

Sell crafted items, especially potions and grenades. Accessories were a highly sought after commodity before Lost Ark released in the West, and they’ll likely remain desirable once the full game launches. These can help boost certain stats, and anything boosting Critical and Speciality are almost always in high demand.

Once you’re at a high enough level, you can also sell Engravings at the auction.

9. Voyage Missions

Complete co-op navigation missions. Co-op Voyage Missions that involve Gateway Maps will also reward you with Gold.

10. Una Tokens

Once you’ve reached level 50, you’ll unlock Una’s Tasks; daily and weekly quests that yield various rewards, such as Pirate Coins, upon completion. Because these and the Stronghold missions are repeatable, they’re the most effective way to keep a steady supply of coins; remember to send out your pirate crew from your stronghold and complete your tasks from Una, and you’ll have a sizable stash of Pirate Coins in no time.

Log in regularly and complete your daily and weekly tasks to get Una Tokens. Claim these from the left side of the screen when the progress bar gets full, and then trade the rewards – gold caskets and the like – to the Gold Merchant in any major town for Gold currency.

12. Guardian Raids

Another fastest way to get gold Lost Ark is from the Guardian raids. Guardian raids drop only non-personal materials which means everything that you get off guardians is either sellable tradable or giftable, so it makes guardians pretty short and sweet. You can only do guardians and chaos dungeons for the materials twice a day. That’s part of the benefit of having multiple characters.

13. Gateway maps

Connected to co-op Voyage Missions, completing a gateway map for a gateway comes with gold rewards.

14. Adventure islands

These are daily adventures you can embark on. You can get gold relative to your item level, although not all adventure island have gold rewards

15. Cubes

Most of the time when people think about cubes, they do not think about the gold game. You gain zero tradable materials from cubes, mostly you just gain shillings or silver, you gain polish materials all bound to your character, but you also gain engraving books, this is one of the absolute best ways to farm engraving books. It’s one of the only consistent ways to try at getting legendary engraving books that sell for an insane amount of gold depending on which one you get.

16. Boss Rush

Boss rush is more directly lucrative than cubes. Boss rush results in gyms which sell very well, very quickly for a good amount. For every boss rush you complete, you can consider it gold in your pocket even if you don’t sell the gems you create from one boss rush. The ones you accumulate the bigger gyms that you sell, the more Lost Ark gold you make. So the more characters you have, the more boss rush tickets you get, the more gems you make, the more gold you make. Boss rusher will also award personal leap stones that are not tradable in a greater quantity than any other source in the game. So these will also be very important for upgrading your character throughout tier 3, this is also the best source of XP past level 50.

17. World Boss

World bosses drop an assortment of personal and non-personal materials, they drop personal polished materials that increase your percent chance of succeeding in an upgrade. They also drop non-personal weapon crystals and an engraving book. An engraving book will almost always drop off the tier 3 world bosses, but the value is varying. Sometimes, they’re worth 50 gold, other times a couple thousand. The gold is split amongst everybody who participated. So you don’t normally get more than 100, but still a little bit of gold, you can sell the weapon crystals and if you get a good accessory, you never know how much it’s going to be worth, got like 5000 gold of an accessory from the world boss.

18. Chaos Gate

Chaos gate is another way of farming gold in Lost Ark. After completing chaos gate, you will be awarded one of three different tiers of secret maps depending on item level requirements for chaos gate. Blue secret maps, you want to keep in exchange at map exchanger NPC for a higher tier. When it comes to purple maps, you have two options: you can sell one map run for gold to three different people without maps or straight after chaos gate, you can group up with three other players who have the same purple secret map and complete it four times means you get 4 times the rewards.
