Divine Flare

Divine Flare is a debuff from the monster skill of the same name. It is used by the boss Dawn, Harbinger of Solaris and its map variants Jorus, Sky’s Edge and Opid, Helial’s Herald. The debuff deals burning damage (fire damage over time).

It is also used by another unique monster Cato, Scholar of Light (and his map variant Barthol, the Pure), but with different internal id: BlackguardClericBossHolyCannon. When Cato/Barthol changed to second phase as Cato, Defiler of Light (Barthol, the Corruptor) he uses Heretical Flare.

Unlike its storyline variant, Suncaller Asha (Park Map) also uses Divine Flare.

Note that the vertical fire beam in Solaris and Lunaris boss fight, it does not have Divine Flare status icon despite looks similar.

Divine Flare is in fact coded as a minion. The “monster” is not targetable and does not have a nameplate. It has a skill that deals the actual damage. For Dawn case, it is known as InvisibleIonHolyCannonDawn internally. While Dawn only acts as the AI that interact with the Divine Flare AI.
