Arrogance Support - Path of Exile

Arrogance Support is a support gem. It grants the supported skills increased aura effect and causes them to reserve life instead of mana, similar to the Blood Magic keystone, but at the expense of a very high reservation multiplier ((220%-201%) for level 1-20 gems). This gem is typically used on Low life builds that also have a high energy shield as the effective life (ehp) pool.

Supports any non-blessing skill with a reservation.

This is a Support Gem. It does not grant a bonus to your character, but to skills in sockets connected to it. Place into an item socket connected to a socket containing the Active Skill Gem you wish to augment. Right click to remove from a socket.

Skill functions and interactions

The mana reservation of any skill (aura, herald, aspect, banner, stance, Summon Skitterbots etc) supported by this gem will be paid with life instead of mana.

The mana reservation will still be calculated normally – #% reduced Reservation of Skills and other similar modifiers will still apply, but the resulting reservation will be paid with life. Note that mana reservation is not a mana cost, thus mod such as #% reduced (Mana) Cost of Skills does not apply. Read version 3.14.0 patch notes for the current mana cost and mana reservation in-game systems.

Unlike its sister gem, Lifetap Support, high level Arrogance Support gem will decrease the skill reservation multiplier as well as increase the value of Supported Skills have #% increased Aura effect mod of this gem. This is subject to the player able to equip this gem due to increase in Strength requirement.

Note that despite Arrogance can support skills such as herald, aspect and Blood and Sand, they don't have Aura gem tag thus does not benefit from Supported Skills have #% increased Aura effect. For those skills, alternative quality versions of Arrogance may be more suitable (Anomalous: Supported Skills have #% reduced Life Reservation; Divergent: Supported Skills deal #% increased Damage).

Arrogance Support Build Example

Arrogance Support causes supported skills to reserve life instead of mana and also provides an increase to the effect of auras that it supports. Just like the original Blood Magic Support Gem, the reservation multiplier diminishes as the gem levels up.
