Divine Orb

Divine Orbs are extremely rare currency items that can be dropped by slain monsters, chests, and destructible containers. They also drop from Arcanist's Strongboxes .

Divine Orbs are high-value currency that play a crucial role in the in-game economy. Because of this, it is regarded as the "gold standard" currency for trading high-value items between players, including chase items like the Headhunter and Mageblood belts, and well-rolled Watcher's Eyes. Most of the high-value trade deals are listed in terms of Divine Orbs rather than Chaos Orbs. Since the average player does not have the means to craft high-end items, the average player typically trades Divine Orbs for other valuable equipment instead of consuming them.

For powerful or wealthy players looking to use Divine Orbs on powerful items, there are two primary methods to consume them. The first is through direct use of the orb, rerolling the values of an item's modifiers. This can be used to optimize the modifier values of a well-rolled rare item, potentially increasing its power and value. It can also be used on certain unique items where the modifier value is very important to the item, such as Mageblood's Leftmost (2-4) Magic Utility Flasks constantly apply their Flask Effects to you mod. However, using a Divine Orb on a unique item should be reserved for items that are very expensive to begin with. Any unique item worth less than several Divine Orbs can use the vendor recipe that trades three of the same unique item for the same unique with rerolled values instead.

Their other purpose is to add meta-crafting mods through Crafting Bench by paying a fixed amount of Divine Orbs. This allows crafters to safely preserve targeted modifiers on items, or block certain mods from being rolled when they add or change affixes. It also can be used to allow an item to have multiple crafted mods, a safer way of creating a very powerful - albeit not top-tier - item if it already has a few powerful affixes.
