Drop Location: Cemetery Map Graveyard Map Grave Trough Map Divine Orb A Divine Orb is a currency item that can be used to re-roll the values of all random explicit modifiers on a piece of equipment. It is one of the three orbs most commonly used as currency to exchange items between players, the other two being Chaos Orbs (much lower value) and Mirror of Kalandra (much higher value). Divine Orbs are extremely rare currency items that can be dropped by slain monsters, chests, and destructible containers. They also drop from Arcanist’s Strongboxes . According to the devs, it has the same drop rate as Exalted Orb. However, unlike Exalted Orb which has vendor recipe (Exalted Shard), there is no vendor recipe for Divine Orb. (Note that selling a Mirror of Kalandra to NPC, is a downgrade recipe)

Hello everyone!

Just as surprised today as when Brothers Stash dropped as GGG doesn't announce to the "Creator" of when things are going to be released.

I say "Creator" here with the quotations because as some folks have said, this was a donation from Zizaran to let me use one of his already paid for cards. I would have eventually gotten another card to do this myself, but it turns out I would have been screwed. Even with the quick action of Zizaran to donate the card to me, someone else had already put in a card in that small time period for 5 div reward and it turns out GGG won't allow 2 cards to have the exact same reward. Thankfully, there was communication between GGG and the other mystery card submitter and they agreed to let "me" have this reward. I spoke with Zizaran about having him be in the card art and he flat out told me no and that he wanted it to be what I wanted with nothing to do with him. Can not say how much I appreciate him doing this as again, the card/reward "5" is important and this would not have happened without him as I did not have another card paid for.

Long story short, I am extraordinarily thankful to Zizaran that I could return my brother to the place that I initially had in mind when I designed the original card. Hearing folks call it "Brothers Trash" gutted me. I understand that it wasn't a dig at my brother, but just that it was supposed to be a great, bittersweet feeling when finding the card of happiness for getting a great drop, but then remembering the story and/or those that you lost in your life. After the switch of exalt/divine, I felt the card no longer did what I wanted it to do and this is a great return to form. Now, if GGG pulls some other types of shenanigans and decides to move them back, I have both bases covered. Haha. Hopefully they don't introduce another mid/high tier currency and have to do another card.

In closing, please don't be angry at GGG for not switching it out. I understand why they wouldn't do it even if it personally bothered me. You can't keep the design of your game stale because of me, and you can't make exceptions otherwise everyone wants an exception made. I get it, but it still sucked. Thanks again, to Zizaran for stepping up and doing what he did. I don't know him from a stranger off the street so him doing this was beyond amazing.

Starting to get a bit emotional so I am going to stop while I am ahead. Go hug the important people in your life. You never know when they are going to go!

EDIT : I suppose I did a poor job (and by poor job, I mean I didn't do it at all) of explaining the though process behind this card. The Brother's Stash (in real life) helped me at a very sad point in my life, but I would have never traded what I got, for what I lost. GGG inadvertently nerfed the card with the change in metacrafting and I was afraid that he would be forgotten or memed about forever now as people had started to call it Brother's "Trash". So this is my gift to my brother. Brother's Gift is me giving back to him, so that he won't be forgotten and can reclaim his spot as a great card and memory/reminder to folks when it drops.
