PoE Beyond Rift

Beyond Rift is a map modifier in Path of Exile that adds a thrilling layer of chaos and challenge to your map runs. Here's what you can expect:

Random Beyond Encounters:

  • As you explore the map, portals will randomly spawn at various locations, spewing forth waves of Beyond monsters. These are not your average enemies. They come in a variety of types, each with unique abilities and deadly attacks.

  • The types of Beyond monsters you encounter will depend on the map's tier and the Beyond mod itself. Expect to see everything from possessed mobs to twisted demons and terrifying eldritch horrors.

The Beyond Boss:

  • Deep within the map, hidden amongst the Beyond encounters, lies the Beyond Boss. This formidable foe is significantly stronger than the regular Beyond monsters and poses a serious threat even to well-equipped Exiles.
  • Defeating the Beyond Boss usually requires careful planning, strategic use of skills and flasks, and maybe even a bit of luck. The rewards, however, are worth the effort, as they often include valuable currency, unique items, and prophecies.

Tips for Conquering Beyond Rifts:

  • Clear method: Decide on a clearing method that allows you to efficiently deal with both the Beyond monsters and the regular map mobs. Some players prefer to focus on closing portals quickly, while others prioritize taking down larger groups of enemies.
  • Portal control: Use skills or items that can close Beyond portals, such as Flame Dash or the Perandus Signet ring. This can help you control the flow of enemies and prevent them from overwhelming you.
  • Defensive measures: Be prepared for the unexpected. Beyond monsters often have dangerous abilities that can inflict heavy damage or debilitating debuffs. Invest in strong defenses and consider using defensive flasks and curses to mitigate the danger.
  • Boss knowledge: Familiarize yourself with the specific Beyond Boss you're likely to encounter in your map. Knowing its attack patterns and weaknesses will give you a significant advantage in the fight.

Beyond Rifts can be a rewarding and exciting challenge for experienced Exiles. With careful preparation and tactical play, you can conquer the chaos and reap the sweet rewards that lie within.

So, the next time you see that purple Beyond Rift notification on your map, don't shy away! Embrace the challenge and test your skills against the denizens of the Beyond!

Beyond Demons are interdimensional demons from parallel realities that attempt to enter the player’s world. The Nightmare realm of the original Beyond demons has been usurped by the Scourge. When in a Beyond-enabled instance, there is a 15% chance that when you kill a monster a small red orb will appear on the ground. If four of these appear close to each other (roughly one screen), they open portals that spawn Beyond demons. Once a substantial number of Beyond demons have spawned in the instance, each pack spawned grants a stacking chance for the next pack in that area to be replaced by a boss. Only one Beyond boss can spawn per instance. Once a boss has spawned, Beyond portals will no longer spawn in that instance.

Demons are divided into three factions, and only one faction will spawn in any single instance. These factions are the Pale Scourge, the Flesh Scourge, and the Demonic Scourge.

Beyond is not a core game mechanic and cannot naturally spawn; however, they can spawn in maps altered by Kirac’s map device mod and are available as a map mod: Otherworldly. Additionally, they can spawn in maps when using a sextant mod that adds Beyond monsters and have a chance to be spawned in maps when using certain Atlas Passive Skill Tree nodes. Certain nodes in Delve also contain Beyond encounters.

Beyond Bosses

These bosses are referred to as the three Demon Lords by Sister Divinia. Both Divinia and the Last to Die claim that Beidat (and other Pale monsters) are blind and appear capable of communication with humans, and feed off of human fear. K’tash appears to be more of a hivemind for the Demonic faction, whereas Ghorr and the Flesh faction appear to be purely driven by the desire to eat.
