The Accomplished New Heroes: Alex Scott

Loyalty to royalty. MVP to MBE. Alex Scott wears the crown of Ultimate Team Hero with honour, a distinguished individual on and off the pitch. She ruled the right flank for her entire career, stopping attackers in their tracks and leading her team forward from full-back.

Every goal she set her mind to, she accomplished, winning six English titles, seven FA Cups, and a historic quadruple before being named to the English Football Hall of Fame. And every goal she scored came in the biggest moments, memorably striking the ball from well outside the box into the roof of the net to win a European title for her beloved North London club in 2007. The class to lead and the courage to fight—that’s what made Alex Scott an Ultimate Team Hero.

La Leggenda New Heroes: Gianluca Vialli

Heroism isn’t simply a measure of what you can do when the pressure is on. It’s also a measure of the person you become in those big moments. Gianluca Vialli was a beacon of both character and quality, a striker that struck joy into all who had the fortune of watching him play.

His trademark charm and trophy cabinet were equally memorable—La Leggenda smiled his way to an iconic UEFA Champions League title with Juventus, winning the hearts of all Turin and all who tuned in to watch their triumph. A record-setting goal scorer, a proud representative of Italy on the international stage, and a charismatic leader, Vialli was truly an Ultimate Team Hero—and truly a joy to watch.

EL GUERRERO New Heroes: Carlos Tevez

Looking for the bravest person on the pitch? Find the player willing to go toe-to-toe with Carlos Tevez. As his nickname suggests, ‘El Guerrero’ was more than a world-class striker—he was a warrior, capable of fighting his way to victory with a rare combination of effort and ability.

Tevez proved his grit on the biggest stage, battling through 120 minutes of a UEFA Champions League final dogfight and emerging a champion of Europe, scoring the opening penalty in a tense shootout. Even after this epic triumph, he never tired of fighting for glory, going on to lift the Premier League with Manchester City as a third time English champion and Golden Boot winner. Tevez epitomises what it means to be an Ultimate Team Hero—good enough to win without breaking a sweat, but heroic enough to always give it everything he had. Effort, that’s what makes a Hero.

FC 24 EL GUERRERO New Heroes

SURESHOT New Heroes: Wesley Sneijder

Some Heroes you can recognize from a mile away. Wesley Sneijder could recognize you from twice that distance. Hard to get near and nearly impossible to escape, Sneijder’s telescopic eye for a killer pass or pinpoint strike made him a menace from anywhere on the pitch.

Everywhere he went, SureShot set his sights on trophies, travelling to storied clubs around Europe and sniping silverware at every opportunity. He even hoisted the UEFA Champions League in 2010, authoring one of the most epic European runs ever written and bringing treble glory back to Italy. When Sneijder steps on the pitch, he sees goals—and we see an Ultimate Team Hero.

FC 24 SURESHOT New Heroes

DYNAMO New Heroes: Bixente Lizarazu

If a Hero never stops, Bixente Lizarazu was perpetual motion. From left back, he marauded forward, claiming the whole left side of the pitch for his own and charging onward to tackle all of world football—from best left back in France, to best in Germany, all the way to best in the world.

Lizarazu’s legs never tired from harrying attackers and his arms never tired from hoisting trophies. He was champion in Germany, chasing down six Bundesliga titles, five cups, and running the UEFA Champions League title back to Munich. He was also a champion for France—of the world in 1998 and of Europe in 2000, leading the charge back to Paris on both occasions with the world’s most coveted trophies in hand. In order to see your limits, you have to stop and look. Lizarazu, the Dynamo and unstoppable Ultimate Team Hero, always kept moving forward.

FC 24 DYNAMO New Heroes

KING KANU New Heroes: Nwankwo Kanu

The pitch. That’s what the average player calls the playing surface. Nwankwo Kanu called it his kingdom. King Kanu had all the qualities of a great ruler—wisdom, foresight, flexibility, tact, strength.

He was majestic on the ball, floating away from challenges, feinting defenders into oblivion, and finding teammates through the eye of a needle. He presided over an incredibly talented Ajax side, reading the game and dictating play as centre forward with noble technique and regal vision. His career was accompanied by honours fitting of royalty—an invincible Premier League title, a UEFA Champions League trophy with Ajax, and a gold medal for his home nation of Nigeria. It’s one thing to be an Ultimate Team Hero. It’s another to be a king. Kanu was both.

FC 24 KING KANU New Heroes

THE WOLF New Heroes: Nadine Kessler

Legend of the game. Leader of the pack. There’s nobody quite like Nadine Kessler—a serial winner who led by example and whose glittering trophy cabinet was equal parts individual honours and team trophies. The Wolf ran the midfield everytime she took the pitch, using her sixth sense and superhuman football IQ to dictate the tempo of the game and captain her side to glory.

A four time German champion, three time UEFA Women’s Champions League winner, a three time German Cup lifter, a European Championship victor, and the European and World Player of the Year, Kessler is simply one of the best to ever play. Her example continues to be a guiding light for her beloved Wolfsburg, now a perennial European powerhouse. Personal success turns players into stars. A lasting legacy—that’s the mark of a true Ultimate Team Hero.

FC 24 THE WOLF New Heroes

SPELLSTRIKE New Heroes: Giuly

It takes a Hero to make the world believe in magic. Giuly did just that. He lifted a finger to the sky every time he performed the unbelievable, as if waving a magic wand to make his doubters (and defenders) disappear.

Mark him too tightly and poof, he’d slip away. Underestimate him for a moment and he’d summon the elements—lightning quickness and thunderous finishing—to power his team into the lead. SpellStrike produced magic everywhere he played, dazzling at a handful of Europe’s top clubs during his decorated career. His best trick was producing a UEFA Champions League trophy with the Catalan giants in 2005-06, topping his run to the final with AS Monaco just a few years prior. You don’t have to be big to be one of the best. That’s the magic of an Ultimate Team Hero.

FC 24 SPELLSTRIKE New Heroes

THE ARCTIC SOLDIER New Heroes: John Arne Riise

The opposition doesn’t always know a Hero’s power until it’s too late. That’s how it was for John Arne Riise, a marauding left back with a devastating secret—his left leg was borderline bionic, a cannon that fired shots goalward with punishing power.

Underestimate him as an unassuming full-back and you’d find yourself picking the ball out of your own net as he wheeled off to celebrate yet another explosive freekick. It was Riise’s rocket powered left foot that launched Liverpool’s comeback hopes in the famous ‘Miracle of Istanbul’ in 2005, assisting the first goal to reignite the Reds’ title ambitions in what became the most famous UEFA Champions League final comeback in history. The Arctic Soldier was a powerful reminder—no goal at any distance is safe from an Ultimate Team Hero.

FC 24 THE ARCTIC SOLDIER New Heroes

THE CONDUCTOR New Heroes: Tomas Rosicky

Close your eyes and listen. That sound you hear? That song in the distance? That’s the melody of Tomás Rosicky, the midfield maestro, conducting his side to victory. Rosicky transformed squads into symphonies, an elegant playmaker who could write a goal into existence with the wave of his baton.

In his very first season at Borussia Dortmund as their record signing, he played his team to a Bundesliga title and orchestrated a fairytale run to the UEFA Cup Final. He made art everywhere he went, inspiring his teammates to play rhythmic, fluent football with his fluid technique and visionary passing. Opponents will never forget the sight of the little Czech genius effortlessly shifting the ball from one flank to another. And fans will never forget the sound—eleven players, on-song, conducted in perfect harmony by the most artful of Ultimate Team Heroes.

FC 24 THE CONDUCTOR New Heroes

FAST FUTURE New Heroes: Paulo Futre

Heroes never quit. So when physical defenders, injury setbacks, and club transitions tried (and failed) to stand in the way of Paulo Futre, he kept moving forward. His speed was explosive and his momentum was unstoppable, driving him towards the goal (and his goals) throughout his nomadic career.

Futre led FC Porto to several league titles and even raced to the top of the European ladder in 1986-87, lifting the European Cup with a Player of the Match performance. From there, Fast Future let nothing stand in his way, speeding past centre backs and touring the world, playing for clubs in Portugal, France, Italy, England, Spain, and even Japan. His ability to dash away from obstacles made it impossible to keep him in one place for long. But as an Ultimate Team Hero, he remains in the hearts of fans forever.

FC 24 FAST FUTURE New Heroes

FLASHFREEZE New Heroes: Dimitar Berbatov

Cold-blooded in front of goal and cool under pressure, Dimitar Berbatov was best friends with big moments. Like an iceberg, his serene exterior on the pitch expertly hid what was underneath the surface—a brilliant footballing mind quietly calculating his next move. Though he played with ice in his veins, Flashfreeze never froze in the face of top competition.

He proved this early in his career, leading Bayer Leverkusen to a UEFA Champions League final at the age of just 21. By the time he hung up his boots, Berbatov was a two time Premier League champion, a Golden Boot winner, and one of the most graceful strikers to ever take the pitch. The effortless Ultimate Team Hero, Berbatov achieved greatness without breaking a sweat.

FC 24 FLASHFREEZE New Heroes

BOMBARDIER New Heroes: Sonia Bompastor

Heroes don’t believe in barriers. For Sonia Bompastor, that meant disregarding the wall of defenders between her and the goal. Her ferocious free-kicks blazed past all who tried to stop them, lighting bolts fired right into the top corner.

Her double against PSG in 2011/12 epitomised Bombardier’s marksmanship—one electric free-kick and another thunderous hit that crashed off of the crossbar on its way past a helpless keeper. The picture of consistency, Bompastor lifted the D1 Arkema title in every single season she played for Olympique Lyonnais, an unbelievable six times, while also enjoying three UWCL titles, including two in a row. A true Ultimate Team Hero, Bompastor always stood up for her teammates—by standing over every free kick and striking fear into all who stood in her way.

FC 24 BOMBARDIER New Heroes

KUNINGAS New Heroes: Jari Litmanen

A great Hero shows that there is strength in humility. Jari Litmanen ruled the pitch with that mantra, a prolific Finnish finisher who was never too proud to provide a killer pass for his teammates. Litmanen’s reign at Ajax exemplified who he was as a leader, a star who shone on one of the most talented squads in football history.

His majestic midfield play stood out on a team of Heroes and ICONs, sharing the throne as they became champions of Europe in 1995 and Litmanen himself became one of the best players in the world. But even as football royalty, Litmanen never let greatness get in the way of togetherness, connecting the great players around him as a noble leader and regal #10. That’s what crowned him an Ultimate Team Hero.

FC 24 KUNINGAS New Heroes

O MAESTRO New Heroes: Rui Costa

Rui Costa wasn’t just a Hero, he was a virtuoso. The game happened in his brain before it took place on the pitch, his mind able to imagine possibilities and see passes nobody else could. His creativity was the stuff of legend, carving defences open and crafting clever opportunities for his teammates.

O Maestro made football look like art as he turned style into success for both club and country, bringing a UEFA Champions League back to Milan. Cerebral, creative, classy—Costa was the paragon of #10s, a footballing genius, and a truly mesmerising Ultimate Team Hero.

FC 24 O MAESTRO New Heroes

KAPTAIN KOMPANY New Heroes: Vincent Kompany

In a dressing room full of Heroes, Vincent Kompany would wear the armband. Strong in a challenge and synonymous with the captaincy, Kompany was Manchester City through and through. Kompany understood the game and overpowered his opponents, able to expertly organise his defence with his elite football IQ and become a one-man brick wall with the match on the line.

His decade of leadership forever changed the Cityzens’ trajectory, guiding the club into the upper echelons of English football with four Premier League titles and a host of domestic cups. He also led City to Europe’s biggest stage, captaining their first ever campaign in the UEFA Champions League. A great captain leads their teammates to glory. Kompany led his whole club to greatness, a leader even among Ultimate Team Heroes.

FC 24 KAPTAIN KOMPANY New Heroes

AGENT MACCA New Heroes: Steve McManaman

Hero. Galactico. Gentleman. Steve McManaman was pure class, a refined footballer whose elegant approach to the game saw him retire as one of the most decorated Englishman of his era. A Swiss Army Knife in midfield, McManaman adapted to any assignment.

And a secret weapon for Real Madrid, Agent Macca effortlessly slipped behind enemy lines to spy opportunities for his teammates. His crowning achievement was a sublime volley, leaping from the shadows and into the spotlight to score and secure the 2000 UEFA Champions League title for Real Madrid. McManaman completed almost every mission he was sent on, winning double digit trophies in his prolific career. You can look past the glass in his trophy cabinet to see all the glittering silverware he won. But you can’t look past the class that made him an Ultimate Team Hero.

FC 24 AGENT MACCA New Heroes

TRICKYBEAS New Heroes: Demarcus Beasley

Demarcus Beasley was the type of lightning that always strikes the same place twice. The picture of consistency, Beasley was as pacy as he was reliable, bursting down the left wing match after match. Everything he did, he did for the team, matching his crafty running with a tireless workrate that made him a nightmare for the opposition.

Grab at him and he’d slip away, dive into a challenge and he’d dodge the tackle, wait for him to make his move and he’d already be gone. A pioneer, Beasley was the first American men’s footballer to play in a UEFA Champions League semifinal, leading PSV Eindhoven in goals during their historic run in Europe. And though he was gone in a blink of an eye on the pitch, Beasley had staying power, playing in a record four World Cups for the US. That’s an Ultimate Team Hero—born to be fast and built to last.

FC 24 TRICKYBEAS New Heroes

THE MOTOR New Heroes: Ramires

Being a Hero often means being exceptional at one thing. Being Ramires meant excelling at everything. Box to box he went, running every phase of the game—expertly reading attackers, endlessly pursuing opponents, effortlessly carrying the ball forward. And just when you thought you’d seen every facet to his game, he’d add another.

His unforgettable chip in the UEFA Champions League epitomised his ever-evolving abilities, hanging in the air for an age before dropping in behind the keeper. It was a goal that any striker would be proud to call their best ever. But for Ramires, it was just another part of being an incredibly versatile player. He made sure his trophy cabinet was just as well rounded, housing every domestic honour in England alongside a UEFA Champions League title he hoisted with Chelsea in 2011-12. Ramires proved that there’s more to being an Ultimate Team Hero than being the best around—it’s being the best all-around.
