D2R Blade of Ali Baba

The Blade of Ali Baba deals poor damage; plenty of other exceptional unique swords deal higher amounts. What the Blade of Ali Baba is useful for is its level-based increased gold and magic find, especially when combined with the effects of other items such as Goldskin or Goldwrap.

The Blade of Ali Baba also contains two sockets. While gems, jewels or certain runes could be added to make the Blade of Ali Baba a slightly more effective weapon, other options include using Lem Runes or Ist Runes to further improve this weapon’s magic find and gold drop.

If socketed with two Ist Runes and used beyond level 90, the only weapon that can beat the Blade of Ali Baba in terms of magic find is a weapon socketed with six Ist Runes.
