Tips for Success:

  • Baserunner Selection: Choose a baserunner with high speed (ideally above 80) and good baserunning awareness for the steal attempt.

  • Opposing Pitcher: If aiming for a wild pitch/passed ball, a pitcher with a poor control rating might be a target (although this is unreliable).

  • Situational Awareness: Look for an opportune moment for the double steal. Here are some ideal situations:

    • High Pitch Count: A pitcher with a high pitch count might be tiring and more prone to throwing a wild pitch.
    • Weak Arm Catcher: A weak throwing arm on the opposing catcher can give your runner on first a better chance of stealing home on a passed ball.

  • Practice Stealing: Sharpen your baserunning skills by practicing stealing bases in exhibition games. Get comfortable with the timing of the "Steal Base" command.

Modes to Achieve This:

  • Exhibition: This is a great option to practice against the CPU on a lower difficulty level. You can set baserunner stealing success rates higher to make it easier to attempt double steals.

  • Franchise/March to October: Play through games and look for situations where you have a fast baserunner on first and another baserunner in scoring position (for the double steal).

Additional Notes:

  • While possible online, it might be easier to achieve this trophy offline against the CPU.
  • This trophy highlights the importance of baserunning awareness and capitalizing on opportunities to score runs without a base hit.
