Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium Farming

Flame Elementium is a valuable currency in Torchlight Infinite, prized for its role in upgrading beacons and forging powerful Deep Space Gear sets. Naturally, acquiring enough of it can be a daunting task. Worry not, for I am here to guide you through the fiery pathways of efficient Flame Elementium farming!

Primary Methods:

1. Netherrealm:

  • The heart of endgame content, the Netherrealm offers the highest potential returns in terms of Flame Elementium.
  • Each biome provides various opportunities:
    • Defeating enemies: Every vanquished foe has a chance to drop Flame Dust, which upgrades into Flame Elementium at the end of the run.
    • Bonus Chests: Completing biome challenges unlocks bonus chests, often containing Flame Elementium.
    • Watcher Bosses: Defeating the Watcher at the end of a biome guarantees a significant amount of Flame Elementium.

2. Deep Space:

  • This challenging realm offers another potential source of Flame Elementium, though with steeper entry requirements.
  • Elite enemies and bosses throughout the Deep Space have a chance to drop Flame Dust or even higher-grade materials that upgrade into Flame Elementium.

3. Trading House & Crafting:

  • While not the main source, the Trading House can occasionally present opportunities to acquire Flame Elementium through direct purchase or trades.
  • Certain consumables and equipment crafted with specific affixes have a chance to be upgraded into Flame Elementium upon usage.

Pro Tips:

  • Optimize your build: Prioritize gear and talents that increase your damage, critical hit chance, and loot drop rate.
  • Focus on clearing biomes: Efficiently finishing Netherrealm biomes is crucial for maximizing Flame Elementium gain.
  • Utilize Whispers: Equip cards that boost Flame Dust drop rate, upgrade chance, or Watcher rewards.
  • Team up: Collaborate with friends or guilds to tackle challenges faster and share the spoils.
  • Experiment and adapt: Different strategies and card combinations might work better for your specific build and playstyle.

Remember: Flame Elementium farming requires dedication and resourcefulness. Don't get discouraged by occasional slowdowns, adjust your approach as needed, and keep your focus on conquering the realms and forging your legend!

Introduction

This post is intended to explain the methods for distinguishing the value of equipment and common in-game items.

This post is suitable for all newbies, especially those with zero foundation or who want to slack off and not spend effort. The most important part of this post, in my opinion, is the “Auction House Pitfall Avoidance” content. For gear crafting related content, please refer to my previous post! Lastly, I hope this post can help you!

Auction House trap Avoidance

▸ Red boxes represent prices, while yellow boxes represent the quantity of items to purchase.

▸ As shown in Figure, on the right side is 99 FE for 1 ember, and on the left side is the normal price, 4 FE for 99 ember. Be sure not to make a mistake when purchasing.

Preemptive Conclusion:

Item Pick Up Value Discrimination :

▸ With light pillar: Good stuff. (Although Normal Legendary Gear also has a light pillar, it is still trash.)

▸ With light pillar and gold border: Top-notch.

▸ Without light pillar: Trash. (However, a few items have value, and the value is not low.)

▸ Black background: Trash.

Item Type Pick Up Discrimination:

Hero Relic: Green text items. (Full green)

Hero Memories: Yellow text, gold text items. (Full yellow)

Divinity Slate: Yellow text, yellow frame, usually named “***’s Divinity.”

Compass: Green frame, usually named “***’s Compass,” pick them all up.

Fluorescent Memory Shards: Blue background/blue text (good stuff), pick them all up.

Note: The colors of relics/Memory/Divinity Slate/Compass/Fluorescent Memory Shards are different from the equipment colors. Different colors of equipment represent different numbers of Affixes, while here various colors distinguish the types of items.

Pick-Up Suggestions:

1. For new players in the Story: Collect everything, utilize found items, and pay attention to the percentage below the equipment panel when switching gear.

2. T1-T5: It is advised not to use filters; gather framed items and start familiarizing yourself with Affixes and the Crafting system.

3. T5-T7: Use the beginner filter, collect framed items without a black background, and begin learning Crafting to primarily advance through it.

4. T7 Swimming: Moderate Crafting skills are required to proceed to T8.

5. T8 Swimming: Employ the intermediate filter and obtain Rare Legendary+ and well-crafted gear to progress to The Brave high floors/3 doors. If you are already swimming, why continue reading this post?

6. Without Advanced Auto Loot, using the advanced filter is not recommended. (Advanced Auto Loot can be acquired after purchasing the Season Battle Pass and attaining a specific level).

7. Farming Relics/Memory: Use the beginner filter, as some equipment prices have significantly increased.

Item Value Perception

▸ The ultimate value of an item is primarily determined by its Affix (except for Compass), while the item’s quality provides an initial assessment of its worth.

▸ Auction values for items can fluctuate at any moment, as traders inevitably seek profit and manipulate prices.

▸ Max Value Exclusive Affix > Exclusive Affix

▸ Exclusive Affix > Rare Orange Affix > Normal Orange Affix > Rare Purple Affix > Normal Purple Affix = Trash > Blue

▸ Rare Orange Affix = Adequate (T7 Swimming/T8)

Flame Tiers

In the image below, the fire tiers from left to right are: 1st tier fire, 2nd tier fire, and 3rd tier fire.

▸ 1st tier flame (Flame Dust) is utilized for Prototype Crafting (a type of craft gear), Explosive, and can be auto-looted by the system.

▸ 2nd tier flame (Flame Sand) is used in Prototype Crafting or Targeted Processing (another type of craft gear), Explosive, but has a high consumption rate in later stages. It requires manual pick up, but can be auto-looted by the system after purchasing Advanced Auto Loot.

▸ 3rd tier flame (Flame Elementium) can be exchanged for any item, except premium items. It is equivalent to gold in other games, has a lower drop rate, but can be acquired through specific methods.

Equipment

Nowadays, most new hunters recognize the value of equipment but lack knowledge in crafting gear. Most dropped equipment serves as basic material, and the drop rate of these materials remains decent. Consequently, the equipment supply surpasses demand, making it challenging to sell basic materials.

Nevertheless, crafted products remain highly sought after, and certain equipment can fetch high prices. Only when more people acquire crafting skills will the consumption rate of basic materials increase, facilitating their sale.

▸ Dots “.” surrounding an equipment name signify a relatively good base. The more dots, means the better equipment’s base.

Conclusion:

1.With a light pillar: Good quality (Regular Legendary Gear also has a light pillar but is considered junk).

2.Without a light pillar: Junk.

3.Black background: Junk.

4.Currently, equipment is not easy to sell, but items like Hero Relic, Hero Memories, God Grid, K8 Tickets, Path of the Brave Tickets, and 3 Gate Tickets sell well! However, most of these items originate from T8.

Arrange by rarity from low to high:

1. Borderless equipment: Trash 1.0 (Without T1 Affix).

2. Framed, black background equipment: Trash 2.0 (Without T1 Affix).

3. Orange frame, black background, with a light pillar (Regular Legendary): Useful for progressing through the story but becomes Trash 3.0 after Netherrealm.

4. Pink frame, pink text, pink background, 3 “.” marks before and after the name: Crafting Value 1.0 (0 T1 Affix, excellent base, typically considered as Trash 4.0).

5. Frame, text, and background color are the same: Crafting Value 2.0. Commonly used for transitional crafting, becomes Trash 5.0 after T7 Swimming (With 1 T1 Affix).

6. White frame, white text, purple background, with a light pillar: Crafting Value 3.0 (With 2~3 T1 Affix).

7. White frame, white text, purple background, 3 “.” marks before and after the name, with a light pillar: Crafting Value 4.0 (High-quality base material + T1 Affix).

8. Orange frame, black text, orange background, with a light pillar: Valuable (Rare Legendary, mostly trash, some valuable, very few extremely valuable).

9. White frame, white text, orange background, with a light pillar: Very valuable (Exclusive Legendary, includes some junk, unique gameplay, and specific boss drops)

10. Gold frame, red text, white background, with a light pillar: Top-quality.

Note 1: Items 8, 9, and 10 are challenging to get.

Note 2: The 10th image represents a material for crafting gear, not equipment. Gathering these materials is difficult;  The appearance is almost identical, with only the names being different.

Divinity Slate

▸ Collecting all divinity Slates is advised. Discarded divinity Slates can be recycled, and the materials gained from recycling (Divinity Fragments) can be used to obtain high-quality divinity Slates. (In the following text, “2 blue”, “2 purple”, and “2 orange” refer to the number of corresponding colored affixes on an item, such as 2 blue affixes or 2 orange affixes.)

▸ The value of divinity Slates depends on the affixes. Generally, purple and orange affixes have value, while blue ones do not. Items with increased levels/upper limits are considered valuable and easier to sell.

The image below shows Fluorescent Memory Shards, with their rarity increasing from top to bottom.

Torchlight Infinite Flame Elementium

How to farm the Flame Elementium with Trait Cards

1. Main Trait Cards

①Benevolent - Flame Upgrade Purple Card (Core): 9% chance of upgrading Flame (Awakened 15%)

②Clever - Hunting God Gold Card (Symbolic Card): Seems to be used for peace of mind (mainly used as a safety net, in case Commodity doesn't drop, can get other benefits such as a full screen of Compass)

③Perception - Hunting God Purple Card (Core): Boss Replicate (Awakened 100% Replicate)

④Just Gold Card (Important Card): Delete a personality card, Awakened two personality cards (Awakened doesn't delete)

⑤Reserved Gold Card (Important Card): Delete a personality card, draw three personality cards (Awakened doesn't delete)

⑥Honest - Green Sphere Gold Card (Important Card): Extend the game under special circumstances

2. Other Trait Cards

①Agile Gold Card (Gambler's Card): Delete blue card, draw blue card (Awakened adds a random non-personality gold card)

②Relaxed - Compass Purple Card (Additional benefit card): Boss Drop Compass (Don't underestimate Compass, some are worth upgrading)

③Sincere - Mechanical Purple Card (Alternative card): Mechanical advent growth (Awakened 24% growth per level)

④Metamorphosis-Dark Surge - Dark Surge Card (Alternative card / Recommended): Draw Dark Surge series

⑤Generous - Rare Monster have chance to Drop Flame,Blue Card (Alternative card): Rare monster Drop initial Flame (Awakened 28%)

⑥Relentless Gold Card (Alternative card): Dwarven Automaton appears with great strength, need to match Blue Card: Rare Monster have chance to Drop Flame(Awakened with a pair of dwarves at each level)

3. Other recommended combinations

①Agile + Relaxed + Sincere + Metamorphosis-Dark Surge

②Agile + Relaxed + Generous + Relentless

4. Common Beneficial Confusion Cards

①Drop Purple Card

②Obtuse - Beacon cost reduction

③Stingy - Awakened all-personality gold card

④Four Gods Gold Card: Brutal - 380% Drop quantity in battle, Obstinate - Mechanical Boxer, Mania - Great Strength activates 3 times, Cunning - Hunting 3 monsters (change tactics in this round for high returns)

⑤Indolent - Free gold card for Compass

⑥Fuel-Trance: Equipment the Flame gold card: Non-Legendary Gear have changes to become Flame Fuels  (with Flame Upgrade, Equipment Quantity Compass, huge returns)

5. Gameplay ideas (Important!)

①This gameplay is adaptable, mainly depends on the card combination of each round, focusing on multiple card overlays, and using Netherrealm Resonance + Compass at once.

②Choosing hunting as the first choice because Mechanical, Great Strength, and Battle Gameplay rewards are random from Equipment, Commodity, Memory Fragment, Memory, Legendary Gear, while hunting allows you to choose one of three, increasing the chance of Commodity appearing.

③Common situations are as follows:

A. Start with Awakened Agile, directly bet on Agile, draw Confusion gold card;

B. Start without Flame Upgrade (Also without Reserved  ), directly go for Dark Surge or Compass Drop + Hunting Gold/Purple + Hunting probability 85% speed brush.

Dark Surge mainly relies on boss probability + 60%, boss Additional +1 overlay, the main profit point is in the Dark Surge boss Drop tickets, tickets base worth 6 Flame/Rare worth 30 Flame. If you draw two Dark Surge Equipment cards, it's recommended to give up.

C. Starting with Flame Upgrade, mainly depends on whether the core cards are complete and Awakened, and whether to invest in tickets this round. Overlay Card: Hunting Gold → Hunting Purple → Flame Upgrade → Reserved / Green Sphere, Overlay Drop: Max lower left mark + Hunting must Drop Compass + Shiny Flame + Bright Flame + Old Flame. (Since tickets are expensive, Hunting Compass worth 5 Flame, ShinyFlame worth 6 Flame. You can also choose not to put tickets for Hunting probability + 85%, but the output of Flame will be much lower)

D. Start with Flame Upgrade, core cards are complete, but not Awakened, you can consider betting on Just or refer to C to start gambling.

E. Start with Flame Upgrade, but core cards are incomplete, consider Reserved / Speed Brush. Speed Brush: Dark Surge/Mechanical or Hunting + Flame Upgrade/Blue Flame Card + Flame Upgrade + Relentless

Important tips

①This card set puts in the ticket for maximum returns, the threshold is suitable for fully engraved players who can play 7. (Fully engraved 8 returns are even higher)

②In the Compass insertion page, the bottom left corner can increase the Drop rate by spending Netherrealm Resonance, but it will increase the monster quantity and difficulty

③Reserved Card's function: A. When the start is not good, it can be used to replenish cards; B. Because it can draw used personality cards, it can be used when stacking cards halfway. For example: Hunting Gold → Hunting Purple → Flame Upgrade → Reserved → Flame Upgrade/Hunting Purple; Also, Mechanical Purple → Flame Upgrade →Flame Upgrade/Mechanical Purple

④In addition to boss drops, brush map small monsters Drop when havingFlame Upgrade is also considerable, without putting Compass only pulling full Netherrealm Resonance, each game can also drop a few Flames. (Bright Flame Compass is also cheap, you can put some trash Compass)
