FC 24 Anti Cheat Error

Run Origin/Steam as administrator

  1. Right-click on the Origin or Steam app on desktop or through the start menu.
  2. Select “run as administrator”, then allow it to make changes when the pop-up window appears.
  3. Boot FC 24 up as normal.

This may solve all your problems, however, it hasn’t worked for everybody. If you fall into that category, try the next solution.

Run then delete anti cheat itself

  1. Go into the EA anti cheat folder (C:Program FilesEAAC).
  2. Launch EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe then close it.
  3. Delete EAAntiCheat.Installer.exe.
  4. Launch FC 24 through Origin or Steam.

This should reinstall the anti cheat and get you past the errors. If not, there’s one more method to try as a last resort.

Reinstall the game

  1. Run Steam or Origin as administrator, locate FC 24, and uninstall it completely.
  2. Then download it all again.
  3. Boot up the game after redownloading and it should finally work.

If you still find yourself at a crossroads, you’ll be pleased to know EA has recognised the error on their public Trello board, so hopefully PC players aren’t left waiting too long before it’s fixed. It looks like the issue is also leading the game to be slammed in Steam reviews. In the meantime, read up on our guide to everything you need to know about the FC 24 Career Mode, or utilise our Around The World, First XI, and Puzzle Master SBC solutions in the web app.

Uninstall Origin Anti Cheat Software

If you play FC 24 via the Origin game store, then you need to uninstall the anti cheat software by following these steps:

  1. Go to “Program FilesOrigin GamesFIFA 23_installerEAAntiCheat” folder on your PC.
  2. Launch EAAntiCheat Installer app.
  3. Select “FIFA 23” from the list of games.
  4. Press the “Uninstall” button.

Once this is done, you need to restart the game by right-clicking on the FC 24 icon and choosing “Run as Administrator”. This should fix the Anti Cheat error you had previously.

Uninstall Third Party Anti Cheat Software

If you have other games that use EAC software of their own on your PC, then they could be incompatible with the EA software and create errors. Currently, there are two possible types of EAC software that you may need to uninstall:

  • FaceIt Anti-Cheat.
  • Riot Vanguard.

You can uninstall either one or both of them by following these steps:

  1. Press “Start” button.
  2. Go to “Settings” menu.
  3. Select “Apps” tab.
  4. Go to “Apps & Features” section.
  5. Highlight “FaceIT Anti-Cheat” and/or “Riot Vanguard”.
  6. Click on the three dots button.
  7. Press the “Uninstall” button.

Once the process is over, restart your PC and start FC 24 once again to see if the error has disappeared.

Turn Off Anti Cheat Software

If you don’t want to uninstall the EAC software, then you can disable it using the following method:

  1. Press Win+R key combination.
  2. Type in “services.msc” and press Enter.
  3. Right-click on Easy Anti-Cheat.
  4. Select “Properties” from the list.
  5. Set the launch order to “Disable” or “Manual”.
  6. Save and exit.

You may also need to restart your PC for this action to take effect. That’s all you need to know on how to fix the EA Anti-Cheat error in FC 24. Hopefully one of these fixes works for you.
