In Diablo IV, Freeze has an additional functionality of applying automatically if enough Chill effects are stacked on the same target: whenever Chill reaches 100%, the enemy is Frozen.
Frozen enemies cannot move or attack. Enemies can be Frozen by repeadly Chilling them. Summons three icy crystals that have a snowy area of effect, Chilling players within the radius. After a short time, the crystals explode.
Critical Strike Damage deal extra bonus damage. The base Critical Strike Damage Bonus is 50.0%. Each hit has a random chance to be a Critical Strike. This chance is equal to your Critical Strike Chance (CSC) stat, which can be increased in many different ways.
Only direct damage can Critically Strike, Damage over Time cannot. Direct damage includes all damage dealt to enemies that is not from damage over time effects.
You can increase both of these Critical Strike Chance and Critical Strike Damage numbers with skills and gear.
The Attack Speed of a weapon is an item attribute that determines how fast the hero can attack. The faster one can attack, the less time it takes to get a swing in, leading to increased damage per second because of more hits in a shorter amount of time.
Non-Physical Damage is a damage type in Diablo 4 (D4) that includes all damage types except Physical.
In Diablo 4, Non-Physical Damage refers to all other damage types such as Fire, Lightning, Cold, Poison, etc.
Non-Physical also has its defensive counterpart called Non-Physical Resistance, that mitigates damage from all damage types except Physical.
Diablo 4 crowd control, usually called CC, is a type of skill effect that reduces enemy effectivity by disrupting their movement or attacking by either slowing them down, immobilizing them, or rendering them unable to attack. Crowd Control includes Slow, Immobilize, Stun, Knockdown, Taunt, Fear, Tether, Daze, Chill, and Freeze.

Slowed | Enemies that are Slowed have reduced movement speed. |

Taunt | Enemies that receive a Taunt target the caster for a period of time. |
Tether | Prevents enemies from walking out from inside of the Tether radius. Can be removed through Unstoppable or Immune effects, or by destroying the target tethered to. |
